Now That's Italian!
It is always interesting to see the different takes on Pilsners. You have your German, Czech, and now Italian Pilsners. The simplistic definition of an Italian Pilsner is a German Pilsner that has been dry hopped with Noble hops. The idea is lots of hop aroma without the hop bitterness.
The Zipline Brewing Co. version is crisp and clean with a dry, somewhat spicy finish. They used Italian-grown barley and lightly dry hopped with Hallertau and Saphir hops to create this 5.0% ABV lager.
I want to try this with various pasta dishes. I believe it would pair very well!
Cheers!
